Job Update & Portobello Market

I have been with my new team for over 2 weeks now and honestly, everything happens for a reason. As much as I loved the Clearing Team and what they do, I wasn't able to help out much and they were SO busy - it was just bad timing. So, I am thankful that my manager noticed this [me being bored.. ha..] and found another team that was ready and willing to train me/take me in. My hours are/will be longer, but I am really busy so the days fly by. Right now I am just working 11-8pm shifts for training purposes. The team is called the Core Client Team and is apart of Client Services. It is just 5 of us and we manage the top 8 members of the bank [plus a few others]. I am working for just one client and have fully taken them in, which is very cool. The only time someone else watches over their accounts is when I leave at 8/8:30pm. I definitely like the responsibility and the fact that I am always busy. Once this merge happens at work, I will be put into their shift schedule rotation and learning more applications [so in the next few weeks]. The girls are awesome, all young and nice/fun. They took me out yesterday [Friday] to drinks and a very nice dinner, it was great! :)

Today I spent the day at Portobello Market in Notting Hill. Connie and I woke up and walked there, about 30 minutes from our flat. It is a great Saturday market that fills the streets of Notting Hill - food, crafts, shopping, antiques.. you name it, they have it. We spent hours walking around and eating, a great Saturday. We then came home and I crashed, the best nap ever. But, the nap lasted until about 11pm, so no going out for me. I have heard there is a Apple Harvest Festival tomorrow at Borough Market that I might attend. I really like these weekends in London, so much to do! Esp since I will be gone the next 3 weeks!!

Miss you all SO much!! xoxo

Beautiful Notting Hill area of London.. look, a mini cooper!! :)

Paella stand at Portobello Market - didn't get to try it, but it smelled SO good.. reminded me of Barcelona, Spain.

Look at how big they are!! I totally should have bought some..

Tulips!!

A Churro stand! I also need to try this next time.. they make little churros and put them in a cup with cinnamon and sugar, you can also get a bit of Nutella put on if you like :)

On Tuesday I received a pretty green box at work and inside was this single red rose from Casey :) It was very sweet of him and is opening beautifully.
